The Foot Specialists clinic has been in operation for over sixteen successful years and is a leader in the provision of clinical management, clinic design and the use of computer and internet technology in Podiatry.

When you first visit the Foot Specialists clinic, your initial consultation will include a thorough examination of your feet and legs, together with a detailed discussion of your medical history.

Your problem will be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible in order to reduce any discomfort.

You will also be provided with Information sheets at the time of treatment which explain the nature of the problem in easy-to-understand terms.

All soft tissue problems - such as corns, callus, ingrown nails, warts, and fungal infections - are usually treated on the first visit.

All biomechanical problems, that is, when the body is out of alignment, will be referred to a second appointment where a comprehensive examination will be undertaken.

This examination will include:

  • a gait analysis
  • muscle testing
  • a range of motion studies and
  • video analysis, should it be needed.

A casting procedure may then follow if arch supports (orthoses) are required.

The Foot Specialists' staff include 2 laboratory assistants, two Foot and Hand Carers, a practice manager and myself, Mal Walker, as the Principal Podiatrist.
